Curlers

When I was little my mom used to put my hair up in sponge rollers, mostly for dance performances, but I have so many memories of having my long hair rolled up in those curlers. When we were in Utah the girls found some of my mom's curlers and we had fun putting them in their hair.

So then we started thinking about my sister Jenny's upcoming wedding and wondering how Mallina's hair would do in curlers so I found some at Target last night and tried it out. As I was putting them in her hair she said, "Look mommy, I'm Grandma Judy!" hahaha!
Eva wouldn't be left out of the fun even though she has her own natural curl like mommy.

Mallina didn't let me leave them in that long before she started pulling them out herself, but in about half an hour we got some nice ringlets in there. I am hoping she will let me leave them in longer next time. They are both obsessed with the curlers now and they each have one in their hair as I type :)

I got an iPhone, neener neener neener!

Our old phone service was crap and since the iPhone is $200 less for new customers, I splurged :) I love watching our car move along as I use the GPS, and having the internet with me wherever I go is awesome, and having my music all together with everything else is so cool. I have been playing around with the camera which leaves much to be desired actually...but here are some shots from the mall yesterday and of my little ballerina's this morning.

And here are both girls with Oreo mustashes...and Mallina in her goggles...hehe!

And my apologies for being a blogging flunkie...my laptop won't connect to the internet so I have been lazy to make any new posts. Since we are back in Arizona I don't have Ieli whining to me about posting new pictures of the girls all the time. I will try to be better!

AND.... I just have to mention that I am so lucky to know two AMAZING women who both gave birth to boy and girl twins within a week of each other! My friend Monica had her twins on August 31...Liahona and Levu are beautiful! AND my niece Nichole had her twins on September 8...Lucy and Sawyer are also beautiful! How did I get so lucky? (although I have to admit I have to breathe deeply to avoid being baby hungry whenever I look at them)

Throwing rocks down by the river

My sister Aly and I took our kids up to the reservoir so they could throw rocks into the river :) They each had a sucker in one hand and rocks in the other. There were a few mishaps where my girls had to wash their suckers in the river, but my biologist sister assured me the water was too cold for any bacteria to live there. Gotta love nerdy know it all sisters! (I LOVE you Aly.) Here are some pictures of our day...

Speedracer

The other day was my sister Jenny's wedding shower at my cousin Greg's house. He has one of those Mules (or glorified golf carts as I say) and they were taking all the kids out on rides. You couldn't get Mallina off that thing, she absolutely loved it! I got a couple of quick shots while Greg was trying to convince Eva to go out with them. We were all shocked that he actually got to pick her up! (she isn't quite the social butterfly her big sissy is...the list of people she likes is quite short).

AND Aunt Aly is here! Woohoo! (Eva seems to like all my sisters :))

Missing you...

In case you didn't know, the girls and I are in Utah staying with my parents while Ieli is at home in Arizona. We've been gone three weeks and he misses us terribly (ok, we miss him too...) But I was on the phone with him and asked him if he had seen the latest blog and he said, yeah, I check that thing everyday, those pictures are old. So, just for that here are some random pictures of the girls. My dad was cleaning out a closet and Mallina spied these gardening gloves. They have become obsessed with them.

Please excuse the unmade bed and the three random ribbons in Mallina's hair. She was obsessed with those for a few days as well.

Posers

Last night we were playing outside and I started taking pictures because Ieli is dying for pictures of the girls while we are away from him. Jaxson started doing muscle poses and the girls started soon after. I got some of the cutest pictures of the three of them. They are definitely good for a laugh!
