Happy birthday to me!

Well, today I am another year older. I don't really like birthdays, getting older freaks me out. And the day is never quite how I envision it to be, but today was pretty good. I was awakened by sweet little voices, and one very low voice, singing happy birthday to me, telling me that breakfast was ready. Yum :)

Earlier this week I bought a cake mix and Mallina has been asking if she can help make the cake EVERY DAY. So finally Vama let her and Eva help him bake my cake. We hung out at the mall for a while, then Vama barbecued some food for dinner and they sang to me again. I am now getting ready to head to the movies with my fabulous niece Nichole while Vama puts the girls to bed. It has turned out to be a pretty nice day. :) Here are some pictures from today:

First, a picture from memory lane, my 2nd birthday with my sissies Jenny and Aly

Oh My!

Ieli has been letting me sleep in since he's been home. HEAVEN! But a lot of the time he snoozes on the floor while the girls do whatever. The other morning they got into their markers and stickers and were having a grand time. When I woke up they looked like such ragamuffins. :) So I decided to head to the gym and while I was gone, Ieli snapped these pictures.

That is Ieli's BELT around little Eva's NECK. Mallina has done this with her own little stuffed lion ever since she saw some random girl at the mall doing it. We definitely need to make Mallina aware of WHY this is NOT ok to do to her little sister.

We're alive!

Oh my, life is just full of surprises, ups and downs, craziness. Having been directly effected by this economy has really been a hit to the face and is very scary. I am NOT good at waiting around to see what the Lord has planned out for me. I need to take control and move things along, however, since Ieli got laid off I have had no control of my life. Picture taking, and therefore my blog, have really taken a back seat. We are currently among the unemployed households of the nation, we don't have any firm prospects, and we don't know where we will be living after June (watch out Paul and Judy! Here we come! Just kidding. Maybe.). That is my reality right now.

So, just so the three people who check this blog know we are still alive, here are some pictures of how we spent our Sunday afternoon.

The girls sat WAY too close to the TV to watch Blues Clues

Ieli snoozed on the Zebra rug

All while I fed my Farm Town addiction on Facebook
while commiserating with my friend Marianne (holla!)

When the girls realized I had the camera out they decided to pose

Then Eva got possessed.

Perhaps there's too much animal print in her life?
