Fun in the sand....box

Mallina is a digger. She would dig in the rocks in front of our apartment with one of my kitchen spoons. She was completely occupied for hours. Now that we have a yard at our disposal I really wanted to get her a sandbox and Grandma and Grandpa obliged. THANKS! Ieli and my dad built this for them and they LOVE it. Ieli spent some time playing in the sand box the other day with the girls and my nephew Jaxson (who is also here visiting Grandma and Grandpa from Texas).

Mallina about to be buried for her kayak race

The shovel was a little large for Mallina

So we tried the small shovel instead. She doesn't look quite as excited.

And now for the sand castle. If you take someone who grew up on an island and ask them to make a sand castle, they make a sand castle. It was pretty funny...the whole time Jaxson kept talking about destroying the thing and it made Ieli nervous. He didn't want anyone messing with the thing until it was perfect.

The crew...excuse the fat mexican in the sand box.....hahahahaha!

What's gonna work? Team work!

THE Castle, upclose

You can see the outside "fence" that went all around it in this shot

And finally the destruction...Ieli threw Eva on the top first

Then Mallina joined in

And finally Jaxson got to destroy it too. I think that was his favorite part.

And just a really cute picture of the cousins. I put Cinderella on the tv on our room when I was going to go take a shower. Jaxson was nice enough to sit and watch it with them. He totally wasn't in to watching Cinderella. At. All. :)

...an update I guess...

I can't decide what to title this post, there just isn't anything too exciting happening. We made it to Utah, there has been a lot of rain, and some fun at the strawberry days carnie, but I don't have any pictures from that. We are all doing well, just adjusting to our new life. Ieli and I are still waiting to hear back from jobs, so no news on that front. But I felt the need to update our blog since Ieli commented today that "ah, there isn't an update on Desert Crabs?" so....here are some pictures for you :)

This is what our life has been like for the last month, disarray! We moved the girls' beds into our room so we could clear their room out and fill it with boxes, this is what I found one night as I headed to bed. One kid laying with her head at the foot of the bed, and one kid laying across her bed. It was like they were tweens at a slumber party :)

The week before we left Arizona Monica called and invited us to go swimming with them at this awesome pool. Her husband Kali was craving fish, so we made a day of it and watched the boys revert back to their island ways.

And Ieli wanted a picture of the girls on the sign at the pool, of course they made faces and didn't look at the camera.

And they looked longingly into the pool while we waited, I thought this turned out so cute :)

Thank You!

Ah, I really felt the love each time I got an email telling me someone had posted on my blog :) You guys are awesome and made me feel so happy. To answer some questions...yes the move to Utah is still on, only under a little different circumstances. We will be staying with my parents in Pleasant Grove until the job prospects start turning into actual job offers. So far Ieli and I both have applications in for jobs in Utah (SLC/Utah Valley areas) as well as Las Vegas. Please remember us in your prayers if you can...we don't want to invade my parents for too long, they were finally empty nesters! LOL We are heading out of AZ and into UT on Tuesday, so we've got a couple of long days ahead of us. We are VERY sad to leave everyone in Arizona, I LOVE this place. But we are also excited to see those of you in Utah. See you soon!

And because no post is complete without pictures...

Our life in pictures

Our life is so upside down right now, we are getting ready to move to Utah next week and for some reason Ieli has started picking up the camera more and more. I think it's the need to document as much of our life in Arizona as we can before we leave.

The girls were outside on our lanai playing with their old car seat.
Mallina decided that Eva was her baby and she needed to be tucked safely inside.

This is what our hall and one of our bedrooms looks like right now...BOXES, BOXES, BOXES.

We are counting down the Sundays, only one more to go.
Here is daddy with the girls in some cute dresses from Grandma Judy :)

And my favorite part of the day. The girls are clean, in their jammies, ready for bed. :)

They don't normally sit like that, I made them pose to show off my wonderful braiding skills :)

And now I am to the point where I feel the need to call out to all of my blog stalkers. I fee so unloved when I only get one or two comments from people, come on people. Show the love!

Boom Boom Pow

My girls are such dancing queens. They have recently discovered the Black Eyed Pea's song Boom Bom Pow. They had a blast shakin' their booties before bedtime the other night. They kept staring at themselves in the closet mirror doors. :)
